Did anyone see American Idol winner, Kelly Clarkson, performing with Melissa Etheridge last night on VH1 Divas?  They sang “Bring Me Some Water” together and I don’t know who paired these two ladies up but I think they were great!  
Of course, this isn’t going to do a whole lot to dispel the gossip about Kelly being a lesbian since some people are just ignorant and will draw conclusions on just about anything…

This year’s VMA nominations are a testament to how powerful women have become in the music industry.  Beyoncé and Lady Gaga lead the pack with 9 nods but Britney Spears isn’t far behind with seven nominations.  I’m happy for everyone but I’m ecstatic for Britney.

The ever outspoken, Kelly Clarkson, has some choice words about her new single “Already Gone” from her album All I Ever Wanted.  Apparently, she worked on the single with OneRepublic frontman, Ryan Tedder, and he failed to mention the fact that he had created a similar song for Beyoncé.  So, basically, his actions ended up making the original American Idol winner look like a copy-cat when she’s not.

It’s been four years since the last one aired but VH1 Divas is returning and will feature performances by Adele, Kelly Clarkson, Leona Lewis and Miley Cyrus.  What do you think of the artists they chose?  I’m really not impressed.  There isn’t a “legend” in the bunch to anchor these young singers and I don’t find that there is enough variety here.  Let’s go one by one.

After nearly two years off the radar, Kelly Clarkson has just announced a new album in the works, tentatively scheduled for release March 17th.
The album is yet untitled, however the single first single “My Life Would Suck Without You” is slated to hit radio on January 19th.
