Flashback Friday: Nikka Costa "Everybody’s Got Their Something"
While many may have slept on Nikka Costa’s “Everybody’s Got Their Something” you know music is timeless, when it starts popping up in commercials well past its prime.
“Everybody’s Got Their Something” is a funky grove that celebrates the uniqueness in everyone. It didn’t quite reach the top of the charts, but it got enough attention to win Costa a cult following.
And now, eight years later, the song has been used in commercial for clothing retailers and soap opera promotions alike. It goes to show that having one hit song is better than none at all.
