Madonna, Donna Summer Nominated for Induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame

I never really considered Madonna or Donna Summer rockers, but I don’t think the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame is strictly about Rock & Roll anyway.

Congratulations are in order anyway, as both Madonna and Donna Summers were nominated for induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Both are influential singer/songwriters and both deserve the nods. In the case of Donna Summer, I wonder what took them so long? She was one of disco’s pioneers, selling millions of albums and inspiring many other women to sing. Madonna, as highest earning female singer ever, was a given.
