Madonna’s Brother Talks About His New Tell All Book on Good Morning America

Madonna’s estranged brother, Christopher Ciccone, is making the press junket for his tell all memoir, My Life With My Sister Madonna. Today he made a stop at Good Morning America for an exclusive interview. Ciccone talks about how Madonna - the persona - evolved and his experiences being the pop queen’s right hand for many years; that is until Guy Richie entered the picture.
“The best way to get to my sister is to get in bed with her, you know what I mean?” the openly gay Ciccone said. “And since I wasn’t doing that, and …wasn’t about to, you know, that person — like I said — who speaks to her, the last person to speak to her at night, has the most influence.”
When questioned about whether or not his book was some sort of revenge against his sister, Ciconni insisted that the stories in the book were his to tell.
“I’m not taking revenge at all,” he said. “I’m telling what I consider to be a great
tale.”
Ciccone, seemed honest - albeit visibly uncomfortable - and although he and his sister have distanced themselves from one another, he still defended her against the recent allegations of an affair with Alex Rodriguez:
“First of all — dispite everything else, she is a Catholic girl…
“It seemed absurd to me, truly,” Ciccone said.
“I think that he was interested in Kaballah, to be honest,” he said. “I doubt that this is actually an affair. I really doubt that she had any — I’m, I’m sure she had nothing to do with the breakup of their marriage.”
He also said Madonna will do what is right for her family and that she’s not someone to just walk away.
