Madonna’s Hometown Hoping to Finally Honor Local Diva

Years ago when Madonna began to make it big, there was speculation as to whether or not she should receive the key to Bay City, Michigan. City officials weren’t impressed with her controversial ways and passed on the opportunity. Now, 20 years later, there are new sheriffs in town and they’re hoping once again to offer Her Madgesty the key to the city.
In a letter sent to the Madonna, Bay City’s Mayor, Charles M. Brunner, Madonna to accept a key to the city.”We have always been proud of your accomplishments but recently your induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame reminded us that we need to honor you with the highest honor that Bay City can offer.”
No word yet as to whether or not Madonna will accept and her reps aren’t talking. Personally, I think it would be a good move for her to go home for a visit. After hearing tales of her being a diva, it can only help her image.
