Women in Music Band Together for Cancer Benefit Single
Mariah Carey, Beyonce, Rihanna, Miley Cyrus, Natasha Bedingfield, Mary J. Blige and about a half-dozen of the music industry’s female heavy hitters will get together for to do a single for the Stand Up to Cancer campaign.
The song entitled “Just Stand Up” will be available exclusively through iTunes and will make its television premier September 5 during a commercial free special to air simultaneously across three networks.
The project is was conceived by Island Def Jam Chairperson, LA Reid who will produce the single along with Babyface; the pair’s first project together in 20 years.
